I started my elementary JEE preparation in class 9th when I saw my inclination towards maths more than biology or other fields and decided to go for engineering. I started preparing for the various competitive exams of my standard like PRMO, SOF IMO, NSO, etc. I was clear with my goal and hence went beyond regular school studies and started referring to many books and study materials apart from my school textbooks. I gained some confidence when in class 9th cleared PRMO, SOF IMO, and a breakthrough was when I stood 3rd in my entire batch of 700+ students in the Inter-DPS SMTE (Science Maths Talent Exam). I continued my hard work and in class 10th I achieved various milestones, the major ones include clearing both PRMO & RMO and appearing for INMO, clearing both stages of NTSE, and securing 1st rank in my city by topping the TRT exam. In the CBSE Xth board examination, I secured 97.6 %. In classes 11th and 12th, I completely focused on JEE where I studied more advanced concepts and solved more intellectually involving problems that prepared me for the competition I had to face ahead. In class 11, for better education of JEE, I shifted to Tuli Public School, Nagpur. I found that the teachers were very helpful and hence made my school studies smooth. Tuli Public helped me in preparing well for CBSE board exams as well as for board practicals. I got 97.6% in 12th. In class 12th I also received the prestigious KVPY fellowship by bagging an All India Rank of 650 amongst ~1 Lakh candidates. I achieved an overall 99.89 percentile amongst 1 million candidates in JEE(Mains) and 98.22 percentile in JEE(Advanced) amongst 0.15 million candidates through which I got into IIT Bombay, the dream college of every engineering aspirant. The journey of 2 years when I completely focused on JEE was full of ups and downs. There were days when my motivation was sky high while there were days when it seemed to dry down but the aim of getting into IIT-Bombay kept me moving. Sometimes my performance was extremely good and I topped the coaching center in mock tests but sometimes I used to perform very poorly but it was that never-giving-up attitude that brought me here. Getting into IIT is a long journey of 2+ years but qualities like persistence and hard work made it a very memorable one for me.
